Online Travel Distribution Made Simple

RIO makes selling rooms online easy. Building sales through Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz and hundreds of other online travel agencies is now as easy as working with your existing tour operators and wholesalers. All that is required is an agreement similar to a standard Tour Operator or Wholesale Net Rate Agreement and an Authorization for RIO to Act as your Agent. RIO does the rest!

Set-up

Utilizing our Preferred Network of Third-Party Intermediaries (agencies like Expedia, Travelocity and Orbitz), we will submit, review and maintain all resort descriptions and photos and ensure that all of your information is up-to-date, relevant, accurate and compelling. You may even decide which agencies you would like to work with or which to exclude. For a limited time only, all set-up fees are waived.

Pricing and Inventory Maintenance

Based on your allotment, RIO will submit, review and maintain Net Rate Pricing and Inventory at each agency in the Preferred Network. The agency markups, through the Preferred Network are established prior to display within the online sites to protect your price parity and integrity. Notify RIO in the event of close-outs or price changes and we will update all of the online agencies immediately. You maintain the ability to increase room rates for peak demand periods or offer specials to boost your occupancy.

Reservations and Reporting

RIO utilizes a sell-and-report inventory system to manage the allotment sales through the online agencies. RIO Connect automatically notifies your Reservations Desk of new guest reservations at the time of booking. Your Reservations Desk simply provides RIO with a confirmation number for the reservation. Each month a recap of monthly bookings and guests is provided to the resort so you can make informed decisions.

Immediate Payment and Accounts Receivable

Regardless of the online agency where the booking originated, the payment process remains the same – the resort collects full payment for the net rate at the time of guest check-out. IMMEDIATE PAYMENT means the time-consuming task of collecting your Accounts Receivable from dozens of online agencies becomes a thing of the past. Your Finance and Accounting will love RIO Connect.
